Honoured jazz musician and scholar Dr. Sibusiso Mashiloane recently achieved a milestone by earning his PhD in music from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
His doctoral journey, which spanned six years, led up to a comprehensive dissertation titled ‘Isigqi’, reflecting his deep exploration of rhythmic and cultural elements within music.
The highly anticipated album is set to release in June in Switzerland and is expected to showcase the culmination of his research.
